Mary Jane Guffey

Mary Jane brings more than 25 years experience working with executives in corporations and non-profit organizations to build reputation and win support.

Having worked as a corporate staff member and a consultant with leading public relations firms, she has a keen understanding of the challenges executives face in galvanizing support.  She is experienced aligning communications with business goals and recommending how, when and what to say at each phase of an initiative. A skilled writer, she has produced executive speeches, op-eds and white papers, marketing materials and digital content.

Mary Jane has held senior positions at General Signal Corporation, Hill & Knowlton and The Rockefeller Foundation. Her consulting clients have included Aetna, Dow Jones Corporation, Harper Collins, KeySpan Energy, Johnson & Johnson, New York Medical College, The Turnaround Group and United Technologies.

Mary Jane holds a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature and Secondary English Education from the University of Virginia. She served as president of the Public Relations Society’s Westchester NY/Fairfield CT Chapter and on the parent advisory board of the Westchester Magnet Academy.
